Founder
Cypriel Fidelis Nwafor

Founder of Sports Life Global, Cypriel Fidelis Nwafor is familiar with homelessness and hopelessness.  He was born in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, where he resided with his parents until the age of nine when he lost his father.  His father was the sole provider for the family.  After his father’s death, Fidelis’ mother was left with the responsibility as the provider, but had no way to care for his basic needs or provide him with an education.   So, she was forced to abandon him.

At nine years old he had to provide for himself by working the fields of a corn and yam farm for about $1 a day and other chores for others.  Navigating on his own, he was left at the mercy of adults who promised care and schooling, but in the end, only wanted to profit from his labor.  Finally, around the age of fourteen, a caring pastor took him in to his home.  That is when he saw his first game of basketball on television.  He was instantly in love.   Basketball gave him new purpose and meaning in his life.

Through his passion and developing skills for basketball, he was able to gain hope, get a visa to the U.S. and obtain an education, a future, and a life. This led Fidelis to start Sports Life Global to provide other young people with hope, education and the same opportunity he had for gaining a better quality of life.
